Here’s a selection of rapid hypnotic inductions and how to prime your client for failure free hypnotherapy. This isn’t therapy but I call it the ‘bells and whistles’ that will help your clients remember that they were hypnotised by YOU!

Rapid Hypnotic Inductions with Susan Wallace

A massive shout out to Brian Kennedy, Mentalist, Magician, Hypnotherapist and Performance Hypnotist for volunteering during this demonstration of rapid hypnosis on the Triple Diploma in Hypnotherapy, Mind Coaching and Online Therapy. Brian is seriously disrupting how performance hypnosis is done on stage.

Start With Priming

In the demonstration, I talk about the purpose of suggestibility testing and how eye fixation amplifies responses and primes our clients for hypnotherapy.

Next, I talk about hypnotic shorthand words such as deeper and sleep and how to put them into context within the session.

You’ll learn about the importance of using the breath to create a deeper hypnotic effect and to make sure that you, the therapist, don’t speak too fast.

You’ll also need to get permission from your client before you use a rapid induction so we need to do that. You’ll see that I’m constantly priming my client for dept and responsiveness.

One of the key things to remember is to tell your client what is about to happen before you suggest it is happening. Everything we say and do in hypnotherapy is goal-directed.

Deep Somnambulism and Speigel’s Eye Roll Test

I show you how to figure out if someone is capable of somnambulism just by looking at how their eyes move. But just because someone isn’t naturally capable of deep hypnosis we can create somnambulism by artificially mimicking the eye movements of people capable of deep hypnosis.

Obtaining Deep Commitment with a Rapid Hypnotic Induction

Let’s take a closer look at what the word ‘trust’ means and how our clients often fail to honour the promises they make to themselves. The rapid hypnotic I use in this section is particularly powerful because it uses the handshake we use to seal the deal when we are giving our word to others.

You’ll see I’m not ‘convincing’ my client nor am I telling them what to do. Instead I’m witnessing the promise Brian is making to himself.

Less Is More > Client Has The Answer

No need for me to come up with the powerful suggestions or commands required. Brian already has that knowledge inside of himself. My job is just to find out what his promise is and to use that as the bridge to help him experience an even deeper level of commitment.

The Therapy Lottery > We Time Travel All The Time

You might think it’s hard to move forward in time, but the truth is we do it all the time.

I use future visualisation together with a hand drop to help Brian create an image of his future that feels as real as his hand on his lap.

Dialling in the Powerful Promise

In our NLP module you’ll learn how to dial it in. This eye movement-based technique helps a client to move the promise he made to himself in the present to influence his future and to become part of his identity.

It’s Not Over Until It’s Over

There is another Handshake Hypnotic Induction I like to use for when I’m finishing up a session and it requires a swift movement followed by a string of strong commands.

You’ll Be Challenged and No One Will Put You Down

Helping your clients to become a strong and unstoppable force is easy when you use the metaphor of the steel bar. This used to be classed as a ‘hypnotic convincer’ but in modern hypnotherapy we prefer to ‘convince’ clients that they were hypnotised by testing the therapy after the session rather than testing for trance during the session.

Let Someone Else Take The Weight

From a steel bar to allowing someone else to take the weight. I am here for you is an important message we share with our clients so that they know that they are not alone.

Give Me a Level 10 Commitment

We end the video with a rapid induction that started off as a rapid induction used in medical settings and still is.

Thanks so much for watching.
